The blog serves as a platform for North Idaho College photojournalism students to post their images, share ideas, ask questions and provide feedback on the work created for the class.
Are you talking about for the portrait assignment? You should be thinking of people you know who have interesting jobs or faces. People who work in interesting places. And even if you don't know of anybody, or can't think of anybody, look at some of those jobs and places that would provide you with some interesting atmosphere and characters. Think about textures, lighting, and the person you want to make a portrait of for this assignment. Be adventurous, go out and find someone.
One more thought... ask Jerome if you can go with him for a ride along. Bring your camera and try to cover the same event he does. It is a fascinating, challenging and exhausting way to spend a couple of hours. I was amazed that he can do this day in and day out and still come away with good photos.
Check the CDA Press. There are almost always advances for upcoming events.
