This isn’t your typical photography class. This will take a lot of time, effort and dedication to the assignments. We don’t have many assignments in this class. But the few that will be given, have to be treated just as if they are term papers. You’ll need to do some research, set up times to photograph your subjects or activity, and if needed, go back and shoot some more. Spending 15 minutes on an assignment won’t cut it and it will show in the edit. You’ll use this blog to post your images from your assignments. And you and your classmates will provide feedback on the images. This doesn’t mean a simple, “Nice picture” comment. You’ll need to analyze the picture and see what you like about it and what you don’t like about it. You can’t progress in photography if you don’t know what you need to fix or what you’re doing right.
Participation makes up 10 percent of your grade, so make sure you’re getting in the mix on this blog and in the classroom.
