Social Issue Attempt #3 - Habitat for Humanity

I had a very different event lined up yesterday and it seems to have gone away completely.  I cannot even find the information I had looked up last weekend for it anymore.  Strange!

So today I took another stab at the Habitat for Humanity scene and got a few photos that might work in conjunction with the last set I posted the other day.  As usual, I am not sure I like the outcome but it is going to have to be the best I can do for this week.

The new owner and one of the volunteers discuss the progress.
It has some emotion I think.  I like the other guys working away
down the hall also.

I like this one for the lines and perspective but I'm not sure
it has much to say otherwise.

I thought these guys created a nice rhythm and showed some of the commotion
of people constantly walking through each others work area.  I just wish the one
guy would pay more attention to what he is doing than constantly looking right
into my camera lens.

Lunch break at the new home.  I thought this made a nice area shot.

I wish this were a little sharper and straighter but I think
it is not too bad and figure Jerome is going to ding me for
something anyway... it might as well be for this.
The perspective is not to shabby.

  1. Andreas,
IF you were to only select one picture , my choice out of your second set would be the first one. The first picture includes the owner of the house and thus it gives it a face and a name to the social issue. I have one minor area for improvement: I wished you would have crouched a little less so you could have eliminated the lower chaos and not cropped the lady at the knees. You did awesome going back and reframing your pictures. It think is great that you captured the volunteers without whom the house would not be possible. IF you were to do a sequence I would vote for your Medium 2 from your previous posting and your last shot from this set.

  2. I definitely think these selections are better. I personally like the 4th photo of the lunch break. I wish it would've been a bit closer though so you could see the expressions on the guys faces. Over all nice improvement.
